These pictures were taken at Easter 2002 along the seven kilometres of the Thames and Severn Canal between Stroud and St Mary's Mill, Chalford. This stretch of canal varies from derelict industry to countryside, with many interesting old mills and architectural features to be seen. The canal is largely in water, although there are some significant blockages. The beautiful Cotswold hills can be seen almost anywhere along the canal

Blockage below Brimscombe at Hope Mill- site of the former Edwin Clark Boatyard. This boatyard latterly became the Abdela and Mitchell boatyard, some of whose boats are still in use as pleasure "steamers" on the Thames.
