Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire, a small town in the South of Gloucestershire, is proud to be twinned with Beaumont-le-Roger in Normandy. Our twinning association started in 1986 and continues to thrive. Exchange visits take place annually, with Wotton visiting Beaumont in odd-numbered years.
The Wotton (pronounced "Wooton") society organises occasional social events as well as the main exchange visits. In these pages you will find details of our programme, sections on both towns, and some information on our members.
We also organise occasional exchanges between teenagers in the two towns, according to demand, and can sometimes help find temporary employment for students etc. We are keen to foster further links, be they educational, sporting or business. Please don't hesitate to talk to one of the committee if you think we may be able to help.
New members from Wotton and surrounding areas are welcomed: you don't need to speak French fluently (or at all!), and although it's nice if you can host a French visitor, it's not compulsory.
Membership fees currently are £10-00 annually for a family, £5.00 for individuals, and £3-50 for pensioners / students. The would be delighted to relieve you of your money.
